Almost twice as many Americans have died at the hands of gun violence in Chicago than in both Iraq and Afghanistan combined, within the same time frame; many of them innocent.
But these news reports fall on desensitized hearts that have become numb to this ‘normal’ yet unprecedented level of violence in Chicago.
Our deepest hope was to start to change that mindset and misunderstood rhetoric through an honest, gritty account of Chicago from the perspectives of the people there.
